Scenes of the Cross Mar-09-2010
The Middle School & Sr. High Youth Groups will meet for an extra half hour this Sunday, March 14, 5:00-6:30 P.M., to prepare for the Stations of the Cross service the following Sunday.
The Youth Groups will present a service based on the traditional Stations of the Cross service Sunday afternoon, March 21, in the sanctuary. Our service would more accurately be called "Scenes of the Cross" since we will not move around the sanctuary, but instead twelve Biblical scenes, from the trial to the crucifixion, will be represented by the Youth. Donations for the Youth Group ministry are not required, but any who wish to give will have an opportunity to do so at the conclusion of the service.
The Fellowship & Hospitality Committee has graciously agreed to host a covered dish dinner in the fellowship hall at 5:00 P.M., to be followed by the service in the sanctuary. FOR THE COVERED DISH: If your last name begins with A-I, please bring a meat or casserole dish to share. If your last name begins with J-R, please bring a veggie or salad. If your last name begins with S-Z, please bring a dessert or bread Coffee, tea, and water will be provided. (The alphabetical assignments will be rotated for future events so the same people are not always asked to bring the same thing.) There will be no sign up sheet; just please bring your dish by 4:45 for the dinner. Thank you!

When searching on line for something, most of us use a search engine such as Google or Yahoo. If you will use www.GoodSearch.com, you will be earning CBPC one penny for each individual search you make. It's almost as easy as any other search engine, just with one extra step: 1. Write "Carolina Beach Presbyterian Church" in the space that asks for your chosen charity 2. Click "verify" 3. Then proceed as you normally would, typing your search information into the space that asks for it. When you click on that search, another penny is added to the kitty. The more of us who do this every time we would normally use a search engine, the more money the good people of Goodsearch will donate to CBPC.
You can make this your computer's home page, and every time you log on to the internet, you’ll see the latest news about our people and our ministries - more easily even than receiving e-mail updates. Windows users: 1. At the top of the screen, select “Tools.” 2. Select “Internet Options.” 3. In the Home Page window, click “Use Current.” 4. Click “Apply.” 5. Click “OK.” Next time you connect to the internet, the Daily Update page will come up automatically!
