The Rev. Keith Grogg was born and raised in Bloomington, Illinois, and is a graduate of Indiana University and McCormick Theological Seminary. He and his wife, Vivian Hare, have two children. Until his ordination he was a lifelong member of Second Presbyterian Church in Bloomington IL. For one year between college and seminary, Keith served as a PC(USA) Mission Volunteer with a British program called Time For God, through which he served St. Andrew's Church in Bedford, England. From 1994-2000 he was both pastor of Kirkwood Presbyterian Church and associate pastor of Bethpage Presbyterian Church in Kannapolis, NC. He has been pastor of Carolina Beach Presbyterian Church since August, 2000.
Keith's Links
Please don't feel slighted if I don't "friend" you on facebook. As a matter of policy, I've decided not to have church members on my friends list, a decision I arrived at from a couple of different perspectives. One, who wants their pastor looking over their shoulder all the time, even in semi-public conversations among friends? And two, who would want to look over their pastor's shoulder all the time, even in his or her semi-public conversations among friends?
On that note, I don't do anything with LinkedIn anymore. Also, I believe I still have a page, but nothing on it, on MySpace. I never check it.
My blog from a 2009 sabbatical, including narrative, photos and (mostly useless) video clips, can be seen at www.sabbaticalnotes.blogspot.com.
