Earlier this year, the session created the Expansion Committee Task Force to continue the process of meeting our pressing space needs, which have been identified and reaffirmed over the course of many public meetings since May 2005.

The Expansion Committee Task Force conducted in-depth interviews with the three architectural firms which we identified as the strongest candidates. We have received a proposal from our first choice, which after intensive review was forwarded to the Session and approved at a called meeting on July 20.

The Expansion Committee was also charged by Session to develop an overall building committee. The building committee will make important decisions as this project unfolds. Every person in the church will have the opportunity to be involved.

We will need to:

1. raise funds,

2. design and furnish rooms, and

3. develop construction ideas.

The joint gathering of all three subcommittees will be Sunday, August 13, at 1:00 P.M. ion the sanctuary. ALL are welcome, regardless of whether you have been placed on a subcommittee.
