NAMI

The National Alliance for the Mentally Ill (NAMI) exists for support, education, and advocacy.

Meetings of the Carolina Beach satellite of the Wilmington NAMI group are held every second Tuesday of the month in the library of Carolina Beach Presbyterian Church at

NAMI provides:

Support - Families and mental health care consumers need support to deal effectively with this devastating illness.

Education – NAMI spreads information to help people know that mental illness is an illness, like any other illness, and treatment works.

Advocacy – NAMI helps bring about advances in science through policymaking and scientific research, which has shed new light on genetic and biochemical causes of mental illness.

Anyone who has family or other loved ones with mental illness is warmly invited and encouraged to attend.
